Start from the beginning with this session that provides general foundational information regarding competency-based education systems, beginning with the work of the Stage 1 and Stage 2 teams who created the Kansas Navigating Change document, moving into a comparison of traditional systems to competency-based systems, and ending with steps schools can take to begin the conversation in their communities. This session is applicable to anyone interested in the foundational information related to competency-based education in Kansas, especially district/building leadership teams, administrators, and individual teachers.
